BENEFITS OF DRY MANICURE
GEL POLISH LASTS LONGER
When a nail is dry, it has a natural C-shaped curve. Once it is soaked in water, it often loses some of that curl. Also after a wet manicure, the nail plate becomes soft and may not be completely dry, which is essential for the gel polish application. Eventually it will cause adverse effect on adhesion and will make your nails more susceptible to chipping and flaking. The dryer the nail, the better gel polish will last.
SHORTER TREATMENT TIME
Clients have busy lives. They still love to be pampered but they don’t always have the time for a lengthy manicure. Dry manicures remove the soaking step so the treatment time is shortened.
DRY MANICURES REDUCE CUTICLE ISSUES
The typical soaking plumps your cuticles during the manicure, making it more difficult to notice dry skin that may need to be trimmed. When the dry skin is not visible after soaking it can also be threatening as some nail technicians cut deep into the skin with the nippers causing damage to micro tissues what naturally leads to rapid cuticle overgrowth and makes cuticle prone to acute paronychia (skin infection).
MANICURE LASTS LONGER
Is important that the nail excess skin is removed without abrasiveness. Dry manicure technique ensures that the cuticle doesn’t overgrow and the side walls of the nail are perfectly polished. Such manicure can last up to six weeks but of course it depends on individual growth factor. Most of my clients last up to four weeks of wear.
